Expand your horizons through food, music, films, and field trips with an Arabic language coach on TV’s Lost in a new, twelve-session culture and language course. Dr. Adly Mirza, a linguist, academic, and artist, has lived, traveled, and worked in many Arab-speaking countries, and invites you to join him in dialogues and conversation, exploring issues related to daily life such as greetings, introductions, descriptions of people and objects, bargaining and ordering, and describing the weather.
Student will also learn about the main cities, countries, and locations, and experience a taste of Middle Eastern cuisine, learning to prepare some popular dishes.
Classes meet Wednesdays (5 to 7 p.m.) and Saturdays (10 to noon), from October 1 through November 8. Tuition is $240. Registration information from the Office of Continuing Education and Training.
