Starting this Tuesday, April 19th ENG 100 students will be launching their class project called The Boxes of Love Campaign to support the Institute of Human Services (IHS) and the Hawai‘i Foodbank. Please bring donation items to campus to support their cause. The campaign will run Tuesday, April 19 – Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Students have spent the semester learning about the issues surrounding homelessness, cost of living in Hawai’i and the working wage.
Donation Sites: TRiO Student Support Office (‘Iliahi 113), Entrance of Subway (‘Iliahi 123), Mānele Building, Lama Library and the STEM Center (Kokio 202).
- gently used clothes (especially swimwear for children) & school supplies (no crayons please)
- hygienic items (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, adult diapers, feminine hygiene products, deodorant and toilet paper–six pack or smaller)
- food (canned vegetables, meats, rice, soup, dried pasta and canned fruit).
