Celebrate National Pi (“π”) Day – March 14th!

March 14 is National Pi (“π”) Day and Albert Einstein’s Birthday!

Come celebrate math and science with us and eat some pizza (pie). This year we are featuring the scientific accomplishments of Native Hawaiians, indigenous peoples, women, and underrepresented minorities. The event will take place Thursday, March 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the ‘Ilima courtyard (between the ‘Ilima building and the Great Lawn.)

  • Pi Digit Reciting Contest
  • Pie Eating contests at 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m
  • 3D printed Pi-themed Horseshoe Game
  • FUN math activities & videos
  • Take pictures with Albert Einstein
  • Pi Day Instagram Booth

We’re seeking students and faculty/staff volunteers to help with activities and participate in the pie eating contest.
