Prerequisite(s): ENG 100 or ESL 100. This ENG 272F class section (CRN 34647 is taught completely online. This ENG 272F class section (CRN 34647) is Writing Intensive. Additional WI prerequisites are ENG 100 or ESL 100 with a grade of "C" or higher. This section introduces students to fiction, poetry, drama, creative nonfiction, comics, performance, and interdisciplinary work by Filipino women in the Philippines, in Hawaii, and in the diaspora. We will learn about the experiences of Filipino women through their writing and the themes of culture, immigration, language, family, and social justice. You do not need to be Filipino or a woman to enroll in this course.
