ENG 271N: WI-Short Story and Novel

Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or higher in ENG 100, a grade of C or higher in ESL 100, or consent of instructor.
This ENG 271N (CRN 33473) Writing Intensive. Additional WI prerequisites are ENG 100 or ESL 100 with a grade of "C" or higher.
This ENG 271N (CRN 33473) focuses on the Fictions of Food within the genres of the short story and novel. Our readings will explore the intersection of food,
history, and cultural identity. Our literary travels will take us to destinations such as Mexico, India, Paris, the U.S., and Japan.

This ENG 271N (CRN 33473) is conducted online. This class is fully ASYNCHRONOUS: students are never required to meet with each other and/or the instructor at a specific time. However, the class includes one or more OPTIONAL synchronous online activities. Examples of optional synchronous activities are office hours via Zoom or else small group sessions during mutually agreed upon times. This class does not include proctored exams. To take an online class, you need regular access to a desktop or laptop computer and a reliable Internet connection.
