Kapi‘olani Community College honors those students who earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher with 15 or more total credits accumulated over Fall and/or Spring and/or Summer semesters (of one academic year) by placing their name on the Dean’s List.
Based on academic performance in 2014-2015, 650 students made the Dean’s List for the academic year 2014‐2015, and we want to congratulate them for their exceptional scholastic achievement.
These students may be eligible for the Kapi‘olani Community College Honors Program and the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society if they have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. KCC’s Honors Program and the Honor Society provide our students with an enriching learning experience and challenge high-achieving students to utilize their full potential.
If you are eligible and are interested in the Honors Program or Phi Theta Kappa, please contact the Honors Education Program at 734-9370 or email email@example.com for information and details. Visit the Honors Education program website to learn more or visit KCC’s Alpha Kappa Psi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on Facebook.
This year we asked our Dean’s List Honorees to provide us some thoughts on how they felt about this recognition. Here are some excerpts:
“I am nothing more than an average person striving to be more than average.” Skye Kaohu-Scorse
Being a mom of 5 and having to work hasn’t stopped my determination to be the best student possible. With this honor I will share with my children and those that I mentor that with hard work, dedication, and determination anyone with these skills can also become a successful student at Kapiolani Community College…. Mahalo. De’ Shannon Chun
As a proud Hawaiian student this is a huge accomplishment. Education is so important and I will always do my best to strive for the highest. Thank you very much, I’m thrilled to be on the deans list.-Madeleine Hokunani Fair Juul
On behalf of the faculty and staff of KCC, we wish you all much success in the achievement of your academic goals at Kapi‘olani Community College.
