David has a special interest in the intersection of public health & emergency services and has had articles published in the peer-reviewed journal Prehospital Emergency Care

SERVICE
David serves on the county, state, and national committees focusing on injury prevention & EMS and evidence-based practice, and his fieldwork is as a special operations paramedic in Maui County, Hawaii.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
In addition to primary instruction in various KapCC EMS programs, David coordinates the Maui EMS Training Center (MEMST). This training center cultivates and supports prospective and current students, and MEMST also provides EMS and tactical medicine training for over a dozen local, state, and federal agencies.
