Campus Status
Campus Update Following Recent Storm EventsThe following information is based on a message shared by the chancellor on March 24, 2026 and distributed via email to Kapiʻolani CC students and employees
Campus Status (as of March 24, 2026)
Kapiʻolani Community College remains open and is operating under normal conditions. Campus teams have been assessing campus facilities and grounds, and we are grateful that overall impacts have been limited.
Intermittent power outages, minor flooding in the Kalia area, and downed trees and branches were reported and promptly addressed. Several buildings experienced roof leaks, with the most significant impacts in ʻIliahi, Lama, Alani, the Culinary Institute of the Pacific (CIP), and Koa. Ongoing assessments continue, with roof repairs prioritized campus-wide.
For the latest updates, continue to check hawaii.edu email and official campus communications.
