The Flu (2013 Korean Film with english subtitles)
Synopsis: Korean disaster thriller! A South Korean city becomes ground zero for a devastating avian flu outbreak! A virologist must race against time to find a cure with the help of a rescue worker and the people of the city. The Flu is an unsettling film about a very real and dreaded situation that can happen to any community in the world. A group of illegal immigrants travel from Southeast Asia to South Korea in a container. However, when the container arrives, the Korean smugglers discover that all of them are dead except for one illegal immigrant, a carrier of a deadly strain of avian flu. He escapes capture and is spreading the flu throughout the city. Within a period of 36 hours, thousands of residents are infected and are dying. To contain the virus, the government quarantines the entire city. Total chaos develops as panic and fear spreads unabated like the flu. A very frightening film taken from today’s headlines!
