Mitch Mikami, Roberto Ramilo and Tatiana Oje gave outstanding performances during their poster sessions and oral presentations, competing effectively against four-year colleges and research universities.
Under the able leadership of faculty advisor Mae Dorado, an instructor with the Medical Assisting Program, Kapio‘lani CC students performed brilliantly in the state’s Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition which was held in February. The nine student winners pulled together to put Kapi‘olani Community College in third place overall. As part of their win, they will now travel to Orlando, Florida in June.
