Congratulations to the New Media Arts students who won 6 PELE awards within the College Division, including the Best in Show Award for Tyler Nash Apuya and his work in the category of Animation/Special Effects: Microphone Motion Graphics Project. Tyler took home Gold along with a $2,000 prize check awarded by NMA alumna, who won the prize in 2018, Kimi Lung from NMG Network. This year’s award winners include Mahsa Crum (Silver) for her Integrated Brand Identity Campaign: CactupunctureMelissa Lum (Bronze) for her Website Design, David Efhan (Bronze) for his Website Design: Type AlwaysStorm Kano (Bronze) for her Animation/Special Effects: Peas, and Tyler Nash Apuya (Bronze) once again in the category of Animation/Special Effects: Compositing Project.

The Pele Awards is a one of fifteen National District Competitions for the American Advertising Awards, the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries every year from across the United States. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising and design.
