Sustainable Cafeteria Forum

The Sustainable Cafeteria Forum is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to share ideas about which sustainability practices they would like to see prioritized for the re-opening of the cafeteria in August 2019, and moving forward.

This forum is hosted by John Richards, Dean of Hospitality, Business and Legal Technology.

Thought provoking data from the Fall 2018 Campus Waste Case Study will also be on display. The top three categories of waste from our campus during this study were:

  1. Food and food consumption items
  2. Recyclable paper
  3. Napkins and paper towels

  • Composting food and biodegradable items
  • Recycling
  • Banning plastic bottles, or other plastic food consumption items
