The month of April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month in the United States. The campus Violence and Prevention Task Force is designating Wednesday, April 29 as Denim Day and invites students, faculty, and staff to wear a white shirt and denim in support of rape prevention and the reduction of sexual violence.
There will be flags on the great lawn next week representing the statistics of sexual assault of a population equal to our campus student body. There will also be signs around campus encouraging students to share on social media and a tent with activities in front of the Ohi‘a cafeteria from 10am-1pm on Wednesday, April 29.
