Welcome to Spring 2022, Students!
The pandemic has added more complexity to all of our lives and, unfortunately, this Spring 2022 is no exception. In response to the recent surge in COVID-19 infections, University of Hawai‘i President Lassner announced on December 28, 2021, that in-person classes that can be effectively taught online may be temporarily switched to online delivery for the first two weeks of the Spring 2022 semester.
For many of your classes, online delivery will begin on the first day of classes, January 10th. For those classes that temporarily switched to online, in-person instruction may resume on January 24th, but the class may also be changed to a hybrid or fully online class for the entire semester. Your instructor will inform you of the status of your class.
Important: Students, please remember that you must attend and/or participate in your class, whether it is online, hybrid or in person, during this transitional period in order to maintain your enrollment. Otherwise, you will be dropped from the class. If you need to borrow a laptop, please request one through the Library. Free wi-fi can be accessed on campus.
These scheduling changes are likely to be temporary. While any disruption is a challenge, please know that we, at Kapi‘olani CC, are here to assist and support you in reaching your educational and career goals. If you need assistance this semester, please consult a counselor.
