Employment Prep Center

Established on the Kapi‘olani Community College (Kapi‘olani CC) campus in 2015, the Employment Prep Center (EPC) provides career services and job preparation to Kapi‘olani CC students and alumni. Although the EPC is currently closed, we are offering virtual services to students and employers.

Vision

The Kapiʻolani CC Employment Prep Center will educate students in their lifelong career development to lead fulfilling lives that sustain themselves, their communities, Hawaiʻi, and the world.

Mission Statement

The Kapiʻolani CC Employment Prep Center supports students to identify and communicate their skills, interests, personality, and values that align with their personal, academic, and career goals. We provide resources and events to help students make informed academic and career decisions. We collaborate with faculty, staff, and our community partners to connect our diverse students and graduates with opportunities.

Handshake Jobs Database

We encourage employers and students to create a profile on the University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges online platform called Handshake for access to job postings, career events, and resources.

Work on our Campus

Current students, enrolled at least half-time, can apply for on-campus jobs using SECE.

Alumni & community members seeking professional positions within the UH system must apply at University of Hawaiʻi government jobs website.

The University of Hawai‘i provides equity of opportunity in higher education, both in the educational mission and as an employer. For more information, visit the UH Policy on Nondiscrimination and Affirmative Action.
