Cost of Attendance

Kapiʻolani Community College utilizes standard budgets that are updated annually by the University of Hawaiʻi’s Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs. The budgets are a reflection of the changes in the national cost of living figures and local community costs. The cost of attendance includes more than the items the student pays to the institution.

Payment Deadlines

Payment Options

Information on the payment process, including details on the payment plan.

Financial Aid

Information on financial assistance for your education. Financial aid is assistance in the form of money and resources made available to help you bridge the gap between your own income and the amount needed to pay for the cost of attending Kapi‘olani CC. The primary responsibility for meeting the cost of college rests with you and your family as much as you are able. The U.S. Congress created a formula written in law that takes family income and assets into account.

Scholarships

Grants and scholarships, often referred to as “gift aid,” help reduce the loans students need to borrow, the hours they need to work, and/or the extent they and their families need to use their savings to cover the costs of their education. While Kapi’olani Community College awards as much gift aid as possible, from federal, state, institutional, and private sources, students are also encouraged to seek out as much outside gift aid as possible, as early as possible. Our Scholarship List is a great resource for doing just that.

Veteran & Military Resource Center

The Veteran & Military Resource Center at Kapi‘olani Community College is designed to act as a liaison between the students and The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA determines eligibility, process payments, and issue checks to all veterans and their dependents.
