The 2026 Commencement Ceremony is open to all graduates from the 2025-2026 academic calendar. That includes Summer 2025, Fall 2025 graduates, and Spring 2026 graduates.

Cap & Gown

Graduates will be required to wear Commencement Regalia (Cap & Gown) at the Commencement Ceremony. Purchase your “Graduation Gown Set” through the Kapiʻolani Bookstore, in-store or online.

What do you need to do?

  1. Summer and Fall 2025 Graduates are eligible to participate in the 2026 Commencement Ceremony. Spring 2026 students who have submitted their Application for Degree/Certificate can register as well. 
  2. Register for the 2026 Commencement Ceremony via Kuali Build. DEADLINE IS APRIL 17th. If you miss the deadline, email kapcomm@hawaii.edu to inquire about late registration. 
  3. Check your hawaii.edu email for detailed instructions and messages
    from the Commencement Team.
