Our History

Queen Kapiʻolani reigned for nearly seventeen years and was much beloved by the Hawaiian people. She was the first queen to tour the United States. The motto of our namesake Queen Kapi’olani was “Kūlia i Ka Nu‘u”, meaning “Strive to Reach the Summit.”

Our curriculum is textured, offering vibrant, educational opportunities and a robust onramp to four-year universities and community workforce development. We’re known for our liberal arts program, as well as our dynamic technical, occupational, and professional programs.
