The John Morton Welcome Center is a space created for our students. A place where they are welcomed, supported, and connected from their very first step on campus.

Located on the second floor of the ‘Iliahi Building, the newly renovated space reflects the spirit of programs like our Lunalilo Scholars Program, Kapo‘oloku Program, and First-Year Experience that are grounded in care, connection, mentorship, and a deep commitment to student success.

Mahalo nui to Lester and Marian Kaneta and the Morton ʻohana for your generosity and support that continues to uplift our haumāna in meaningful ways.

Named in honor of John Morton, the center recognizes his legacy and contributions to the University of Hawaiʻi Community Colleges and Kapi‘olani CC.

We can’t wait to welcome all of our students to this new space!
