Program Information

ARCH Primary Care Givers Program

Effective in the Fall 2017 semester, the Adults Residential Care Home Operators (ARCH) for Nurse Aides program is being combined with the ARCH for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) program. The newly-combined ARCH program will be retitled as Adult Residential Care Home Primary Care Givers.

Within the newly-combined ARCH program for Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nurse Aides, a new ARCH (one-credit) course, titled NURS 11 – ARCH Activities, is being proposed in order to complement the existing ARCH courses (i.e., NURS 12, NURS 13 and NURS 14). NURS 11 will provide an opportunity for students to become proficient in activities related to the care and support of residents residing in a care home. The proposed course will also include a supply fee to enable students to access necessary lab materials.
