Ulana: To weave, braid, plait; to prophesy.
Makaloa:  a sedge used for weaving; mesh of a net; center of a flower (fig. descendant).

The inaugural Ulana Makaloa will take place on August 18 through August 22.

Throughout the week of Ulana Makaloa, Kapiʻolani CC faculty, staff, students, and leadership will have the opportunity to engage with the campus as we set the tone for the Fall 2025 Academic Year.
