The Shared Services Center was awarded an honorable mention for the Wo Community Award at the Hawaiʻi Student Success Institute (HSSI) Conference on Friday, March 6th. This award is presented to organizations who improve their campus’ communications, collaboration, community and well-being. The Shared Services Center at Kapiʻolani Community College works hard to garner new grants for the campus, as well as create smooth transactions between existing grants and grantees.

Shared Services Team 2020 HiSSI Conference
Brandon Marc Higa, the Director for Resource Development said, “I’m so proud of the Shared Services team for winning the Wo Community Award honorable mention. From my first moments at Kapiʻolani CC, it’s been a dream to create a one-stop grants office to support innovations across the campus. This team made that dream a reality. Special shout out goes to our marvelous principal investigators and grant staff who make it possible – Shared Services would not exist without the vibrant grant enterprise at our campus. Cheers to many more years together!”
