The Kūkalahale Title III grant is excited to introduce you to our new team member, Elise Ululani Kahikina. Some of you may have known Ululani for her work at Windward Community College where she has created safe learning spaces for Kaiāpuni students to transition to higher education. Her passion for ʻāina and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi make it an easy transition for her to coordinate aloha ʻāina, place-based professional learning experiences for Honolulu & Kapiʻolani Community College employees.  We are so delighted to have her on the team!

Ululani is from the Windward Coast of Oʻahu and currently resides in Kalihi, Honolulu with her little ʻohana.  She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, learning about the history of our lāhui Hawaiʻi and kuanaʻike Hawaiʻi.  She is a strong advocate for ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. Please send Ululani a warm welcome to our campuses!

Ululani will be working out of the Honolulu CC Hūlili Ke Kukui Hawaiian Center with the rest of the team.  She can be reached at eliseuk@hawaii.edu.
