Congratulations to Alissa Kashiwada and Carol Hoshiko for winning the SEED IDEAS grant award for spring 2020. Alissa’s project titled, “Her Vote, Her Voice & Her Victory!” will present a panel to the campus to discuss the important role women play in social justice, politics, and community reform, in light of the centennial of the 19th amendment.
Carol Hoshiko’s project titled, “Stay Informed – Prevent Human Trafficking,” focuses on creating student awareness of the recent increase in human trafficking on college campuses and the community. Carol and her team created informational pamphlets to raise awareness, provide information, and list resources and interventions for those in need of help.
